• YOUTH & ADULT LITERACY

• Personal Finance & Life Skills- Coursework will include essential skills to manage and grow in everyday life. Focus will be on personal care, daily living, and health care.  Subjects such as budgeting, credit, bill payment, and money management will be explored.

 

• Reading and Basic Math- Designed with a concentration in adult basic education, this course will assist students with grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and speech. Basic math concepts, currency, and practices will also be learned.

• Hip Hop-Dance instruction designed for students who desire skills in live performance, competition, and self-expression. Hip Hop dance will aid in learning basic steps, precise execution of movement, and choreography.

 

• Footwork- Students will learn step by step instruction in foot work to include timing, style and technique. Mastering basic rhythm, movement, isolation, and sequence is the goal of this course.

• Music Production-Students will be introduced to sound design, sound engineering and mastering. All new producers will have the opportunity to generate their own sounds for video, games, and other media.

 

• Guide to Becoming a DJ- Featuring world renown disc jockey ,DJ Slugo, Guide to Becoming a DJ will focus on the proper equipment, tools, and media used by beginning DJs. Fundamentals such as music selection, equipment and set up, and self-promotion will also be addressed.
